The multi-agency operation, made possible with the help of the FBI and US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, led to two arrests after police searched several addresses across the city. Toward the end of March, we spoke about three different locations in Tallahassee that also became the targets of an investigation led by the FGCC together with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol. Then, investigators seized over 100 gambling machines that were in full operation despite lacking the necessary license, as well as approximately $20,000 in cash. In February, the FGCC issued cease-and-desist letters to the daily fantasy sports operators that were offering or accepting illegal bets or wagers from Floridians.
